What is the role? 

Make a real impact every day as a Domestic Assistant at Hafod. 

This role is a permanent part time role offering 15 hours per week across 3 days, please note we’re unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role.  

We’re looking for kind, caring and reliable people to join our team. You’ll support people with daily living activities and personal care like washing, dressing, helping people use the bathroom as well as supporting with meals, wellbeing activities and routines.  

It’s hands on rewarding work where you can genuinely make a difference to the people you support, and no two days are ever the same.

Some of our homes may have limited public transport links, and some shifts start early or finish late. You’ll therefore need reliable transport to and from work. 

What you’ll be doing 

  • Carry out general cleaning duties throughout the home. 
  • Safely handle and store cleaning materials in line with Control of Substances    Hazardous to Health (COSHH) procedures. 
  • Report faults or hazards.  
  • Maintain a safe, hygienic environment. 
  • Work as part of a team to support a welcoming environment.

About the home 

Woodcroft Care Home provides accommodation for over 65s in Pontypool, Torfaen. We focus on giving a great quality of life to our residents, whatever their abilities and needs are. Our team of specially trained staff provide tailored care to all of our residents, including those who require EMI care and those with dementia.
